Back Ups

Backups are automatic copies of your website that are safely stored in the cloud. If something goes wrong, like the site breaking or getting hacked, we can quickly restore it to how it was before. It’s like an undo button for your website, helping keep everything safe and running smoothly.

Security

If your hosting is with us, your website already benefits from strong security measures provided by our hosting partner, 20i, known for fast, reliable service and expert support. Since mid-2024, we recommend managing your DNS through Cloudflare, which adds extra layers of security, including enhanced protection against DDoS attacks and improved site performance.

This combined setup helps keep your website safe and running smoothly.

Green Hosting

Our hosting provider, 20i, powers its services entirely with 100% renewable energy, making your website eco-friendly by default.

If you choose, you can proudly display the Green Hosting badge to highlight your commitment to sustainability.

Pagebuilder

We use a page builder instead of pre-made templates, allowing us to create fully custom designs tailored to each customer. That means your website won’t look like everyone else’s, it’ll be unique to you!

SEO Addon

We use SEOPress Pro to handle on-site and technical SEO for your website. It allows us to customise meta titles and descriptions, check keywords, validate on-page optimisation, set custom social sharing images (Open Graph), find broken links, and much more, helping your site perform better in search engines such as Google and Bing.

Anti Spam

Nobody likes SPAM do they (or do they 🥫) – so we use the CleanTalk plugin to stop spam from flooding your website contact forms, no annoying CAPTCHA’s or puzzles needed. It quietly blocks spam bots.

Image Optimisation

Fast-loading websites are loved by both visitors and search engines! We use the WPvivid suite to optimise your images for speed and provide reliable automated backups, ensuring your site runs smoothly and is always protected.

If you choose to not have a care plan with ShortTech, here's what to expect.

Your Time

Each month, you’ll need to spend about 30 minutes to 1 hour performing routine website checks, depending on your technical skills. Remember to factor in your hourly rate when deciding if you want to manage this yourself.

Your money

Without a care plan, you won’t benefit from the discounted agency licenses we provide for essential plugins and services (worth around £20 per month). You’ll need to purchase and manage these licenses and renewals independently.

Your peace of mind

If any issues arise, we’re still here to help, but care plan clients receive priority support. Without a plan, response times might be slower, so consider whether you want that extra security and speed of service.
