Why I love working from home:
Since I started working from home and working on ShortTech, I have found a much better work-life balance.
One of the biggest plus points about working from home is the fact there are no overheads. I work in a purpose built office at the bottom of the garden which has been designed and built to suit the needs of me and my business.
Much of my clientele live and work in the local area and so I am almost always within walking distance from clients which works perfectly as we can often meet face-to-face and go through initial ideas at a local coffee shop! Chichester has tonnes of independent coffee shops and I love to be able to support them where and when I can!
My favourite thing about working from home is:
I think my favourite thing about working from home would have to be being able to spend virtually all-day-every-day with Archie, our Golden Doodle.
The office is also split into two sections, my fiance Phil works in one section, whilst I work in another. We both have our own businesses and work from home, and whilst we are able to get our work done when we need to, we also have the flexibility and opportunity to be able to spend quality time together without restrictions. We are very lucky!
My least favourite thing about working from home is:
The fridge. I love the fridge, it is where we keep all the food but in this context, my least favourite thing about working from home is that the fridge is so close to me.
It is all too tempting to nip to the fridge for a cheese sandwich or bite of chocolate when I need a bit of a boost! Not good for the waist line! Cheese is my weakness!
